Livery Design Gruppe

“Livery utilizes the most advanced 3-D CAD modeling software from the beginning of our designs. A 3-D model allows us to study our ideas prior to manufacture to ensure critical tolerances for safety, materials selection, and component interactions are not overlooked. Following a satisfactory design, our computer models are then printed on our 3D Rapid Prototyping machine giving us a fully usable life sized prototype made out acrylic-based photopolymer (plastic resin like) material for test fitting parts and checking assemblies that require mechanical movements. The ability to touch and feel a life sized working prototype with accuracy to 28 microns instantaneously is invaluable to judging space proportion and giving us real time depth feedback on design.

“Dodici cicli is a small brand born from passion to feed passion, we needed something that was not available and so we created it.
We needed transportation , we needed transportation designed for us and designed for our cities, we needed simple bicycles, with no need for maintenance , no noise in the graphic, plain colors, everything that is possible to clean out the bicycle we cleaned, we took away the gears, Milano is a flatland, we took away the brakes, who needs brakes when you can have fixed gears?
Yes, it takes some time and some suffering to start with it but we never seen anything beautiful that was too easy or came without any effort.
Back in 1910 people were riding bicycles like these.
We like things that are simple and things that last, so we started with steel and evolved with super modern ultimate stainless steel for cycling , we have a line of very minimal aluminum frames too, and we didn’t wanted fear anybody so there is a very funny two-wheeler with brakes but no gears .
We import anything we need for our kind of velocipedes, and we source anything we can from our home land , Italy.”

The Grime

“The Grime consists of and is run by three riders originally from Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Richmond VA. Ed Wonka, Mike Schmitt, and Joe Krillz are the founding members, with other riders on the team such as Anthony ‘Honey’ Combs of San Jose. They kill it and do shit on bikes that no one has done before.

Finally, a company owned by someone who rides, just like you. Someone you can email, or meet at an event, or even stop by the workshop we share with SquareBuilt Bikes in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn. At every level, this project remains hands-on, exclusive, and real.

Wonka and Krillz were both couriers and artists together 4 years ago at Top Notch Courier in Manhattan and the idea sprouted. Finally we linked up with Mike Schmitt and started producing apparel, working with SquareBuilt Bikes right here in Brooklyn, and filming some of the the most progressive and impressive trick/lifestyle videos featuring the unseen-before riding style of the Grime Team, killing gaps, grinds and rails.

Our originating idea was a simple one: rather than sporting a brand or label by someone we don’t know, lets work on building something for us and for every other rider stuck in between the worlds of roadie/trickster/courier and for the newly emerging fixed/freestyle scene. Not every cyclist is a Keirin pro, clean cut roadie or even a courier. We represent the Gritty in-betweens of the wheeled world and want to bring you true underground NY Style. The difference between us and the big guys, is that you will see us on the street. And we will f*cking RIP it with a smile.”

Radio Fixed

The Bombtrack is a result of years of engineering knowledge from our Radio BMX product designers and the input of one of Europe’s most influential fixed trick-style riders Simon “Gomok” Andraca from Paris, France.

Victoire

The hubset is our very first product at Victoire Cycles. We wanted to create the lightest and strongest high flanges hubset in the market, with the best materials and optimal design. After many prototypes and lot of testing, our hubs are now ready to hit the roads. We use aero grade 7075-T6 alloy for every parts of the hubs. This material is 300% stronger than the common alloy used in the cycle industry. All the parts are CNC machined with the highest tolerances.

We designed a splined interface to fix the cog, in order to eliminate the problem of loosened thread on hubs. The interface has 16 splines and no sharp edges to distribute and diffuse the effort on all the surface with no pick concentration. The flanges are centered to the middle of the hub to provide a stronger wheel with equal tension on each spokes. The spokes holes are chamfered the the head spoke fit perfectly into the hub body, creating a stronger surface and increasing the wheel’s strenght.

Each Hub is polished by hand.

Polo Stem: This stem is the very first Victoire product dedicated to the art of bike polo. After months of testing with the MGM team, we just approved the design and we will launch the production as soon as possible. This stem has a 42mm lenght, a small rise and unlike a bmx stem, this product is really light with a final weight under 150gr.

Splined cogs: These cogs are designed to match our rear hub. The 16 splines are designed with no sharp edges to distribute the effort equally all around the hub body. We also use aero grade 7075-T6 alloy, and the cog is reinforced by a special treatment, in order to increase the longevity. This provide an alloy cog that is harder than steel cogs. They are available from 13T to 20T sizes, in two colours, the classic black and our signature smoked champagne.
